At Christ the King our core beliefs are the foundation of our calling to be “a church community seeking to LOVE GOD and LOVE NEIGHBOR in our worship, relationships, and service in Midlothian and beyond.”

WORSHIP

When we gather for worship each Sunday morning we have an opportunity to be rooted in the presence of the Triune God who invites us to express our love for him even as he reminds of the he first loved us. In worship we offer our prayers and praise to God, and he assures us of his grace, nourishes us through the preaching of his word and the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and sends us into the world with his blessing. Our worship is liturgically structured to reflect the transcendent glory of God’s holiness, the immanence of his love, and the joy of being in relationship with him. We hope that you will join us!

RELATIONSHIPS

Because all men, women, and children are made in the image of God they have inherent value and dignity. Therefore we seek to faithfully express our love for God and neighbor in the way we relate to all people beginning in our homes, our neighborhoods, our places of work and recreation, and in our church community. At Christ the King we want people to not only know the truth of the gospel, but to experience it in relationship with others no matter where you are in the journey of considering the person of Jesus.

SERVICE

Being loved by a God who entered into the world “not to be served but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28) compels us to to express our love similarly. This is why we encourage all members of Christ the King to use their gifts in some capacity to both serve the church community and the communities of Midlothian and beyond. To stay up to date on service opportunities you can check the weekly email and/or the announcement section of our weekly order of worship.
